Press release for UK vet press July 2026

Independent orthopaedic referral practice, The Moores Orthopaedic Clinic, has completed the next phase of its development, officially opening a beautiful new extension that provides additional consulting rooms, expanded reception facilities and increased kennel space.

A Long-Term Vision Realised

The barn extension was always part of the clinic’s long-term vision when it first opened its doors three years ago and as referrals have continued to grow, the team has now transformed the space into a welcoming new reception with separate waiting areas for dogs and cats, three additional consulting rooms and extra kennel facilities, creating more capacity while maintaining the clinic’s patient-focused approach.

Clinical Director Andy Moores says:

“When we opened The Moores Orthopaedic Clinic three years ago, it was always our ambition to develop this part of the building. We’re delighted to now be welcoming clients into this fantastic new space. The extension has allowed us to create an environment that reflects the high standard of care we strive to provide while giving us the capacity to support more pets and referring practices in the years ahead.”

Purpose-Built for Orthopaedic Excellence

The clinic was purpose-designed specifically for orthopaedic referral surgery and remains one of the UK’s few independent, orthopaedic-only referral centres. Led exclusively by RCVS Recognised Specialists Andy Moores and Chris Jordan, the practice has built its reputation on delivering outstanding specialist care at an affordable price.

Growing Without Losing What Makes It Unique

The extension has been designed to complement the clinic’s original fit-for-purpose facilities, ensuring the same high standards continue throughout the practice while preserving the character of the converted barn.

Andy continues:

“We’ve always believed that specialist care should be both exceptional and accessible. As our practice has grown, it was important that our facilities grew with us while staying true to what makes The Moores Orthopaedic Clinic unique. We’re incredibly excited about what the future holds and look forward to welcoming more patients, clients and referring vets into our expanded clinic.”

The Moores Orthopaedic Clinic continues to offer a comprehensive range of specialist orthopaedic procedures, including total hip replacement, TPLO surgery and advanced elbow replacement surgery. Andy is one of only a small number of veterinary surgeons in the UK able to perform third-generation TATE elbow replacements, reinforcing the clinic’s position at the forefront of specialist orthopaedic care.
